last gasp of summer...

a few things I was thinking about - contrast of organic (flesh) with inorganic (shell), the shell as protection, the spiral as an inwards-looking device... color and light.

beautiful and delicate creation; love the feel captured and the addition of that blue spiral on his torso - wonderful pose of the model especially positioning of the arms/hands

I think I'm just going to give up. I'm sitting here working on my first painting then see this.... I need to just go back to photography and leave the painting to the masters! (grin).

The pose and the shell really compliment each other - The twisted line through the shell reminds me of the spine.
