Interesting study. I rather like his eyes, you can see a lot of emotion there.

I'm a lovely little cupcake, DON'T EAT ME! D=
:iconsuperkoo:
I'm amazed by those eyes. And the lightnings, like usual.

So there was this emo kid who wanted to suicide from the tenth floor, he felt lazy while walking on the stairs. So he just threw him self from the fifth floor twice.

Amazing. I think I know this guy.

i think you do - is it Ben Miller? I took a Face and Figure Painting course with Don Seegmiller (fantastic, wonderful, amazing class!!!) and he was the model for most of our male photo refs - here's another study from that class -

lots of great photos he has!

Oh wow. That's cool.

We're good friends. He's taken a few of my reference photos, including some in my DA gallery, and I've taken a few of his reference photos.

Yes, I know Don very well, but hadn't seen any of the works from this particular class (though I was aware of it). Your work is absolutely incredible! Any chance you'd be interested in even more of my reference (yes, in your case, I'm going to just outright ask, maybe even close to beg ;) ).

well thanks! I'm so glad you like it - that's the scary thing about doing someone's portrait, what THEY actually think of it!

That's very nice of you to offer reference material - I always love to have more, so yes I am interested - thank you!
:iconjustmeina:
Not that I'd know, I'm just the model, but I think portraits tend to be harder that way than figure drawings/paintings. I think I've only ever hung one portait drawing of me on the wall over an extended timeframe - it was done in another of Don's on-line classes by an artist by the name of Krystal Campucci (and I hope I'm remembering the spelling correctly ^^;). I've had A LOT of positive comments about that piece by those who have seen it. Those who know me know that she captured "me" (a difficult thing to do in a portrait, I think) - even my daughters were impressed (that's no small challenge ;)). Given the opporunity, I would hang this one right along side it, because it's definitely just as good.

As far as the reference material, please look for a private message from me that I'll send momentarily.
