This image was created for a workshop that appears in ImagineFX 57. It's about creating a male fantasy figure with a focus on anatomy and skintone, and was loads of fun to work on

! There's an anatomical breakdown of the muscles of the torso, how I deal with skin, color, texture, and some thoughts on painting male figures in general.

This particular guy is based on the concepts of the Greek and Roman sun gods Apollo and Sol - you can read all about my trials and tribulations with him in the current issue
