I wanted to do this painting in a style reminiscent of a renaissance religious painting.

Angel is messenger, demon cherub is harbinger of the apocalypse.

I haven't done a lot with two characters interacting so this seemed like a good excuse. Plus I've had the concept in my mind for years now. Glad to finally see it down on paper, so to speak.

The angel is not terribly tough/masculine, yes, this was intentional. Most sources say that traditionally, angels have no real gender, though they are usually depicted as beautiful beings with some male characteristics. Now don't ask me if they have navels, it looked too strange without one.

Painted with Photoshop CS2 (refs used for hands/baby leg)

Both has sinister beauty and thank you for not making the angel terribly masculine. I understand your attempt at renaissance religious painting style, but if you really wanted to achieve that you need more sfumato. For now every edge is abit too defined, but you did a fabulous job regardless.
